Sipi Falls comprises three stunning waterfalls situated at different elevations along the Sipi River. The tallest drop plunges over 90 meters, creating a breathtaking curtain of mist and rainbows when the sunlight hits just right. Sipi Falls is located on the foothills of Mount Elgon in eastern Uganda. The region generally has a cool and mild climate, thanks to its higher altitude. Temperatures typically range between 10°C (50°F) and 25°C (77°F). The area experiences two rainy seasons: March to May and September to November, though showers can occur at any time. The dry seasons from December to February and June to August, see relatively less rainfall, but the area remains quite green year-round.
